Hello everyone! I thought I'd share a project I was working on last night. I don't know about you but it drives me more than a little bit crazy when I go to the store to get a nice card for someone and end up spending $5 on paper with some words on it that a 7 year old could have created! A couple of years ago I decided I was done with that and started making my own... even if they still look like a 7 year old created it... at least there's still some thought behind it and I don't feel like I'm throwing my money away! :)
You'll start with theses supplies.... 1) Blank card. You can get these at any craft shop. 2) A variety of decorative papers. Use your imagination! This is your card, so pick out whatever inspires you! 3) Any extra embellishments to want to give your card some PIZZAZ! On this one I used some of my moms old earrings from the 70's that she doesn't wear anymore and broke them down so the pieces would lay flat on the card.
With all of your supplies ready it's time to get creative! Put it together however you think looks best... there really is no wrong way here, so just have fun with it!
This is the finished product! I think it turned out pretty good :) Don't forget to sign the back... this is your creation after all!

That's such a great idea! My hubby made me a homemade card for our last anniversary, and it did look like a 7 year old made it - but it was so special! :)
